The purpose of Founder’s Day is to reflect on the mission, purpose, and ideals on which Kappa Delta Pi was founded. It is a time to celebrate and join in fellowship with Kadelpian colleagues and to highlight accomplishments of the Society as a whole, as well as those of chapters and individuals.

You are invited to the Kappa Delta Pi Centennial Celebration of Founder’s Day as we cherish our past, celebrate the present, and create the future. KDP was founded 100 years ago, on March 8, 1911, at the University of Illinois. We returned to our roots on March 5 to commemorate this historic milestone.

A special program and luncheon was held to recognize our founding educators, meet and reconnect with colleagues and leaders, and celebrate a century of excellence in education. The event began at noon (Central Time) at the Levis Faculty Center with a lunch buffet, followed by a bit of history, an inspiring panel discussion on relevant topics, dessert, and much, much more. Door prizes included one complimentary registration to Convocation 2011!

The program was streamed live during the event.
