Quality Mentoring for Novice Teachers, a collaborative book project with the Association of Teacher Educators, is published.
Millennium Counselor Awards are established and presented.
Regional Chapter Resource Consultant positions are created to serve the needs of chapters more effectively.

2001
A Society brand promise is created and adopted:

I TEACH regional conferences are initiated.
New Teacher Advocate wins the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers.
National Day of Service program is created.

2002
“Ask Miss Ruth” Teacher hotline is launched.
Partnership with Teachers-Teachers.com, an online job search company, is formed.
New Teacher Advocate is a finalist in the Association of Educational Publishers’ Distinguished Achievement Awards competition.

2003
The ABC’s of Job Hunting for Teachers, is published in partnership with Teachers-Teachers.com.
First community college chapter is chartered at Camden Community College, Blackwood, NJ.
Counselor Academies are launched.
Ready, Set, Teach! A Winning Design for Your First Year is published.
American Society of Association Executives awards KDP the Advance America Award of Excellence for its work with new teacher induction and three chapter service projects.
Novice Notes, a quarterly publication addressing topics of interest to preservice and novice teachers, is launched.
They Led by Teaching and Dear John Dewey are published.

2004
KDP, in conjunction with the National Academy of Education and the National Society for the Study of Education, hosted Town Hall Forums across the country to increase public awareness and understanding of the No Child Left Behind Act.
The Society begins offering at-large memberships for those educators who are unable to join an institutional, alumni, or school-based chapter.
The first school-based chapters are formed.
The Teacher Classroom Grant program is introduced. Fifty-seven teachers from around the country receive funds for innovative classroom projects.
KDP, John Goodlad, and the Institute for Educational Inquiry work together to promote the Agenda for Education in a Democracy.
The ABC's of Job-Hunting for Teachers is a finalist in the Educational Publishers' Distinguished Achievement Awards competition.
KDP's Web site is revamped. The site allows members to renew their membership, change contact information, join an online discussion, purchase Store items, and donate to the Educational Foundation online.
The Educational Forum is redesigned to reflect its renewed mandate of serving as a catalyst for stimulating and encouraging dialogue and for transforming the thinking about education.
Life Cycle of the Career Teacher in Practice, a companion booklet to the Life Cycle of the Career Teacher book, is published.
A monthly electronic communiqué welcoming new members to Kappa Delta Pi and informing them of benefits and services is introduced.
The I Teach conferences are redesigned to focus on preservice and beginning teachers' needs. This change results in increased attendance and the scheduling of additional conferences.
The Kadelpian, a newsletter to keep members informed about Society events and happenings, is delivered electronically.

2005
The Educational Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The ABC's of Classroom Management is published with the support of Teachers-Teachers.com
KDP is admitted to the Trust of Insuring Educators and begins offering new insurance programs to members, including student teaching liability insurance.
KDP's Headquarters building is renovated.
KDP is named to the American Society of Association Executives' Advance America Honor Roll for its NCLB Town Hall Forums.
Experiencing Dewey: Insights for Today's Classroom is published.
Ideas to Go, a monthly electronic communication containing classroom tips from National State Teachers of the Year and experienced educators on a variety of subjects, in launched.
KDP installs 25 new collegiate chapters, surpassing its previous record for new chapter installations in an academic year.
Michael P. Wolfe announces his retirement after 15 years as Executive Director. The search for a new director begins.
A comprehensive membership survey is conducted to identify ways to serve members better.

2006
Dr. Pamela K. Buckley is selected as KDP's first female Executive Director.
