Kappa Delta Pi Professional Chapters provide an instant network of like-minded teachers sharing a personal and professional community. Like many professional learning communities, they can serve as problem-solving, action-oriented collaborations. Within the KDP Professional Chapter, members can identify professional development issues and team with colleagues to brainstorm, strategize, and obtain and practice new skills.

Having a Professional Chapter in your building or district opens up opportunities for funding and resources for professional development or individual Teacher Grants—it even allows local businesses to support programming through donations to the chapter, which is an independent nonprofit organization. Chapter-sponsored programming may be offered to either members or nonmembers.

A local Professional Chapter may be started by current or lapsed KDP members, or by nonmembers who intend to join. Visit the Start a Professional Chapter page for more information on how to get started.
