Fund-raising “Fund-raising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.” –Hank Rosso |
| A chapter’s imagination can be limited by its treasury. This
fact is sad but true. However, an easy way to promote the chapter’s
creativity is to break the bonds of its financial worries by
creating a strong financial foundation. Fund-raising can sometimes
get people down, but if a person knows and understands why
fund-raising is important, a goal with a purpose can be established.
The more financially stable a chapter is, the stronger its
programming can be, and stronger programming creates better
teachers. KDP chapters submitted the fund-raising ideas below. All the ideas are organized by level of difficulty. If your chapter has a great fund-raising program that you would like to share, please click here and submit your idea. Thank you. |
Through Book Drives for Better Lives, chapters can conduct a fund-raiser and service project that is free, easy, and fun! Select one of Better World Books’ nonprofit literacy partners and BOTH the partner and your chapter earn money for the collected books. Your chapter chooses which of the following partners will benefit from your drive: Books for Africa, Room to Read, Worldfund, National Center for Family Literacy, Invisible Children, or Plan USA in Haiti, the newest BWB partner.
