Chapter: Eta Epsilon Chapter at

Materials:
| • | Space/location for the event |
| • | Banquet tables |
| • | Bid sheets |
| • | Labels for the items |

| • | Advertisement signs |
How To:
| • | Reserve the date, times, and location to hold the auction. |
| • | Obtain volunteers to hold the event. |
| • | Call local businesses to get monetary or material donations for the event. |
| • | Advertise the event. |
| • | On the day of the event, set up the tables and signs, and lay out a sheet for customers to write in their bids. |
| • | Designate the closing time for the bidding. |
| • | Establish an alternate pick-up date and location for winners who are unable to stay until the designated closing time during the auction. |
| • | Explain to bidders that they must provide their contact information and their silent bid; tell them when to check back for winners and pick up their items. |
| • | Note what will happen with items not retrieved by the alternate pick-up date. For example, be prepared to give the item to the next highest bidder. |
Add a Twist:
| • | Host the event at the local mall or another location that is free to reserve. |
| • | Have KDP members work the auction tables in one-hour slots. Provide sign-up sheets at a member meeting. |
| • | Use the School of Education office as the alternate pick-up location for winners. |
| • | Provide bidders with a pamphlet describing the KDP chapter and School of Education. |
| • | Contact chapter alumni to tell them about the event. |
| • | Create and display a poster at the auction showcasing the chapter. |
