Planning & executing effective chapter meetings

Why Meet?

Meetings are an invaluable way to pass along pertinent and timely information. They are the main source of information for members about national scholarship and grant deadlines, chapter events, Convo, inactive memberships, and upcoming inductions.

However, no one likes to meet simply for the sake of meeting. To ensure that your chapter meetings are well-attended and well-planned, it’s best to structure them in advance.

Officer Responsibilities

It is the President’s job to conduct the chapter meetings. The Counselor serves as advisor during the meetings.

It is important that officers attend the meetings. This sets a level of expectation for the general membership to attend as well. If an officer is unable to attend a particular meeting, he or she should notify the other officers as soon as possible so that provisions can be made. That way, another officer can handle preparations and updates during the meeting.
