Marketing & Advertising Chapter Events Promotional Blitz |
Coming into a Leadership Position |
| When your chapter has an upcoming event, it is a good idea
to devise a promotional blitz. This is a short event or publicity
stunt aimed at sparking interest in your chapter or event so
that people get excited about participating.
A promotional blitz is a creative way to get members of the chapter involved. Chapters can even have their own Marketing & Publicity chair or committee that helps come up with these great ideas. |
Example |
| If your chapter has planned its orientation for the first or second month after school starts, then one promotional blitz might be to distribute School of Education (SOE) survival kits. The kits could contain such things as a bottle of water, a campus map, a list of SOE instructors, gum or mints, a bookmark about KDP, and a flyer about the upcoming event. Chapter members would wear their KDP t-shirts during the blitz and have a poster board or bulletin board set up. The cost to the chapter would be minimal, perhaps a total of $25–$50, for the purchase of two 24 packs of water, gum, and bags to contain each survival kit. |
