Networking/Social Events

“The successful networkers I know, the ones receiving tons of referrals and feeling truly happy about themselves, continually put the other person’s needs ahead of their own.” –Bob Burg

Networking within a chapter is very very very important! Life is busy for everyone; rarely do you hear someone say, “I have all the time in the world.” You are more likely to hear, “I don’t have enough time!” However, if you do not take the time to stop and develop a relationship with your fellow education professionals, you are going to graduate with a support system of one, and that one is you alone. Many chapters add a social time to their monthly meetings. They might, for example, have an ice breaker at the beginning of the meeting or offer cookies and ice cream after the meeting. It does not have to be extraordinary, but having something to nurture a support system is not a waste of time.

KDP chapters submitted the networking/social event descriptions below. All the ideas are organized by level of difficulty. If your chapter has a great networking/social event program that you would like to share, please click here and submit your idea. Thank you.
