Materials:
| • | Moderator (usually an officer) |

| • | Education faculty member and/or local principal |
| • | At least 3 sample portfolios (elementary, middle school, and high school) |
How to:
| 1. | Choose who will chair this event and be the moderator during the event. |
| 2. | Contact a principal to explain what they look for in a portfolio. |
| 3. | Contact an education professor to explain how to put together a portfolio. |
| 4. | Confirm panelist attendance and contact information. |
| 5. | Reserve a date and room for the event. |
| 6. | Market the event/send invitations. |
| 7. | Hold registration for the event. |
| 8. | Complete the event. Be sure the professor and the principal explain what they are looking for in portfolios. End with a question and answer session. |
| 9. | Allow time attendees to look through the sample portfolios |
| 10. | Ask for feedback about the event. |
Add a twist:
| • | Have refreshments following the event. |
| • | Videotape event for documentation of chapter history and Society media coverage. |
