Professional/Career Development
“The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership.”
—Harvey S. Firestone

The idea of teaching is not a hard concept, but the effective application of teaching can be. People who think teaching is easy are not teachers themselves or they do not yet have their own classrooms. Teaching programs are being pressured to add more and more content without adding any more time or classes to the program. This is where your chapter can help. By working with the Education Department and finding out where the needs are, the chapter can create events to help meet those needs that the teacher preparation program is too stretched to meet.

KDP chapters submitted the professional development ideas below. All the ideas are organized by level of difficulty. If your chapter has a great professional/career development program that you would like to share, please click here and submit your idea. Thank you.
