Materials:

•	Costumes
•	Flashlights
•	Reflective vests (suggested)

How To:

1.	Contact city council or other local government offices to determine date and time of community trick-or-treat night. Inform them of the chapter’s intention to serve as safety patrol.
2.	Encourage members to volunteer for the event via e-mail or during chapter meetings.
3.	On the designated night, members should position themselves along roads and at intersections to act as guides for trick-or-treaters.

Add a Twist:

•	Advertise the chapter’s involvement in local newspapers.
•	Distribute candy, reflectors, safety lights, etc.
