Mount Saint Mary
2006 Leadership Summit

Mount Saint Mary Chapter Leadership Summit
Newburgh, NY
The Mount Saint Mary Sigma Tau chapter worked very hard to make sure they crossed all of their T’s and dotted all of their I’s as host of the February 11 Leadership Summit. Though attendance was not as high as anticipated due to the threat of a Nor’easter in the area, the conference went off without a hitch. Attendees were pleased with the result and traveled home happy.

Preparation
As soon as Mt. St. Mary agreed to host the conference, they got to work on the plans. Within a few weeks, they had arranged for the meeting room and parking, and were working on the catering plans. They then began thinking of room decorations, favors for each attendee, and raffle baskets to enhance the conference.

They created a history poster board to showcase
their chapter and all its activities, as well as KDP
in general.

All of this preparation took a great deal of time.
The night before the conference, all of the officers
and the Chapter Resource Consultant from KDP
Headquarters, Mindy Fairchild, met to discuss the
program, transitions, and how things were going
to flow from the beginning to the end.

The practice paid off; all ran smoothly the next day.

At the end of the conference, KDP Jeopardy was
played using the Chapter Resource Notebook, and
raffles prizes were awarded!

Thank you to all who attended this conference!
A BIG thank you to Sigma Tau, the host chapter, for all your hard work!
