| Convo 2011 at a Glance The conference features three nationally renowned keynote speakers, in addition to KDP’s distinguished Laureate Panel, and offers a wide array of workshops and breakout sessions that provide inspiring, timely information attendees can use in their professional educational careers. Various special events round out the program, from networking sessions and regional luncheons, to the career fair and closing banquet. Register Now. Hotel & Travel Convo 2011 is conveniently located in downtown Indianapolis close to several world-class museums, ethnic eateries, and defined cultural districts. Within two city blocks of the JW Marriott are more than 100 shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Convo registration does not include housing. Visit KDP Headquarters While You’re in Town If your schedule allows, stop by KDP Headquarters while you are in Indianapolis. You can tour the building and view an array of historical objects and Society archives. Tours are offered Thursday, November 3, from 9:30 a.m. to Noon, and Sunday, November 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The building is located at 3707 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis, IN, 46268, on the northwest side of the city, just off of I-465. Centennial Events The countdown to Kappa Delta Pi’s 20-month Centennial Celebration began with the Society’s first annual Founder’s Day recognition on March 8, 2010, and concludes with the 48th Biennial Convocation in November 2011. Events and programs have included Regional Receptions, Founder’s Day, and 100th Anniversary celebrations. Other special activities are continuing throughout the year, including the Essay Contest and Time Capsule, along with activities tailored to individual chapters. |
