The Educational Foundation
began with a few generous gifts from Kappa Delta Pi members and now—thanks
to the annual donations of hundreds of members, chapters, and organizations—has
blossomed into an organization that funds all national KDP scholarships,
up to 50 classroom teacher grants, up to 50 Literacy Alive! grants,
and professional development grants. Your chapter can play an important role in helping fund these important programs. Chapters have many unique opportunities to work with the Educational Foundation and help the Foundation support its mission. Your chapter can elect a Foundation Representative, whose primary responsibilities are to develop fund-raising programs to motivate individuals to donate to Kappa Delta Pi’s Educational Foundation, promote Foundation scholarships and grants, and become the liaison between the chapter and the Kappa Delta Pi Educational Foundation. Contact your Regional Chapter Coordinator for more information on electing a Foundation Representative. Remember: Contributions to the Foundation from Chapters are considered eligible activities for the ACE applications. |
