What is the iLead Conference?

Kappa Delta Pi iLead Conference is a new national event to help members learn to be better teacher-leaders. Participants will take part in small and large group activities designed to help them learn about how transformational leadership works for educators and how to create and implement a vision. Who should attend?

We are looking for active student chapter members – either undergraduate or graduate students. Malone College in Canton, OH was selected as the pilot site for the new conference because it was conveniently located for the most chapters in the Northeast Region. As a new conference and one that will spearhead the new KDP Leadership Initiative, it is important we try to get the most number of members to attend. More importantly, this is your chance to participate in a brand new national event! Our goal is to have 250 members participate in this event and we need your help to reach the goal. We need every chapter to help do their part in supporting the iLead Conference. This conference will set the standard for others that follow in other regions in the fall and for other events in the future.

All chapters within 300 miles driving distance of Canton, OH are strongly encouraged to register at least one person for the conference. Participation in the conference fulfills the National Bylaws and Chapter Model requirement for attendance at a national event and also provides points towards the ACE Chapter Award requirements.

Please consider sending a delegation based on your chapter size:

  • If your chapter has 0-50 active members, consider registering 2-4 members.
  • If your chapter has 51-99 active members, consider registering 5-7 members.
  • If your chapter has 100+ active members, consider sending 8-10 members.

If you have never been to a national event, this is one you shouldn’t miss! Plus you can earn incentives for your chapter just by attending – incentives will be given out for the most people per chapter, the farthest traveled, and much more!

Registration Information
Registration is $35 per person until March 26. Registration includes conference materials, snacks on Friday, breakfast/lunch on Saturday, and an event favor. Late registrations will be accepted up until April 2, for a late registration fee of $45 per person. On-site registrants will be charged an on-site registration fee of $60. This fee does not apply to chapter substitutions for members who were already registered. There is no charge to substitute members. No refunds will be given for cancellations occurring less than two weeks before the event.
