Public Policy Site and Strategies Launched
Change - it's uncertain; happens quickly or too slowly; and is all around us. But we can affect it. In fact, we need to be agents of change in our field. That's why public policy and advocacy are coming to the forefront in KDP goals. Peruse the new policy site and join the discussion!

Summer Is in Session!
In case you are among the few (and lucky) people with "lazy, hazy days of summer" to fill with activity, here are a few ideas.

*Reading:
for K-12 teachers for the educational-policy interested, for variety and fun, and for a different take;

*Continuing Education/Professional Development:
for undergrads, new teachers, and veterans who want to earn CEUs or grad credit;

*Vacation with Purpose: vacation and volunteer learn, or teach.

Convo Connection
Still trying to decide about Convo? Here are a few reasons to put Convo on your Must-Do List: First of all, it's the Centennial Celebration! It offers uplifting affirmation for educators, top-notch workshops to put you at the head of the class, and keynote speakers, such as Jason Ohler, who inspire and motivate you to new heights. Check some wallet-friendly helps on travel, attractions, and the hotel, including finding a roommate, and more.

Your Connections

Undergraduates -
July is a great month for learning what you want or need to learn. Look for the topics on your mind in
Teaching Resources and KDP Connect .

Graduate Students - Spend a little time this summer cruising KDP Online. Browse the Grad Lounge archives, where you'll find publishing and research tips, to help you get the most out of grad school and your KDP membership.

Professionals - You can be involved in the KDP community in so many ways, and some of them don't even require you to leave your desk! Visit our community now.

Administrators -
Have you considered connecting with other KDP administrators through an online community or our Membership Directory?

University Faculty -
Diversify your reading and your faculty with these suggested texts. Chapter Counselors, please take a little time this summer to review our continually updated chapter resources and see how they can help you get your chapter revved this fall. Not a Counselor? Consider it! This role lets you serve as a mentor and grow professionally too.

Retirees and Almost Retirees - Though your school days may be over (or soon will be), you are still an educator at heart! So keep involved in your KDP community. Your expertise is needed!
