Literacy Alive! is rising to new heights as KDP’s signature community outreach initiative! Chapters and professional members are encouraged to participate and invite community collaborators to join in developing a Literacy Alive! event. • April 20, 2012: LA! Project Achievement Report is due. Fill out a report about your completed project or event by April 20, 2012 to ensure that your Literacy Alive! initiative is added to KDP’s growing bank of literacy activities and is eligible to be considered for a monetary Achievement Award.
Recognition for Your Program
Would you like to let KDP members, as well as your community, know about your project?
Members and chapters that confirm their participation and fill out Section A of the LA! Project Form will receive a certificate of participation. Chapters that successfully conduct a LA! project and complete the full LA! Project Form will be eligible for Special Recognition and a monetary Achievement Award.

Submit Your Project Achievement Report
Fill out the LA! Achievement Report by April 20, 2012. To receive a certificate, fill out Section A. To be considered for Special Recognition and a monetary Achievement Award, fill out both Sections A and B. An external review committee evaluates the information you provide in consideration for an award. All types of submissions help recognize and celebrate KDP Literacy Alive! events across the globe.

How do you qualify?
1. Confirm your Literacy Alive! participation by December 2, 2011.
2. Conduct your program between September 2, 2011 and April 6, 2012.
3. Share your project by completing the LA! Project Achievement Report by April 20, 2012.
4. Meet the Special Recognition and monetary Achievement Award criteria.
Will my program or event receive recognition as a Literacy Alive! program?
• All confirmed programs will receive a certificate.
• All confirmed programs that submit a completed (both Sections A & B) LA! Project Achievement Report are eligible to be reviewed for Special Recognition and a monetary Achievement Award.
