Interview Preparation
Prepare for an interview as you would for a lesson plan—overplan. Know about the school, update your résumé and portfolio, anticipate questions the interviewer will ask, and practice, practice, practice.

• Identify your strengths and weaknesses
• Research the school and district
• Know classroom management techniques you will use and examples you’ve used in your teaching experiences
• Prepare for types of interviews, including multiple interviewers
• Practice interviewing with a professor or friend
• Choose professional attire and presentation
• Arrive early
