IDEAS TO GO
Teaching on a Shoestring Budget
Educators have always had to be resourceful and thrifty and even more so now as budgets are squeezed and funding dwindles. Resources and solutions are out there; we just have to know where to look. I found that a local printing company discards paper rolls that still have quality paper on them. Unable to make use of the "tail ends" of the rolls on its presses, the printing company makes them available at no charge to area teachers. Great for projects, writing practice, and so much more. I highly encourage teachers to check with local printing companies in their area.
~Ms. Erica S. Dillard, Early Childhood Instructor, Texas

Being resourceful is not limited to teachers. Administrators, colleges of education, and others are doing more with less, as you'll read about in this Educational Leadership article. So let's work together! Send us your Teaching on a Shoestring Budget ideas and we'll share them. Please submit them here.
