Hong Kong Educator Selected as Teacher of Honor

David has made his way around the educational world; first as a French teacher in the Division of Language Studies in the Community College of City University in Hong Kong. He then became a member of the Education Development Office and currently provides staff and professional development for teachers and administrators and has featured in television and radio programs promoting French language and culture. Currently he is pursuing a Doctorate of Education from the University of Durham in France. This spring, David is scheduled to present on a CityU Peer Tutoring Initiative at the International Technology, Education and Development Conference in Valencia, Spain. A native speaker of French and Spanish, David also is fluent in English and knowledgeable in Cantonese and Putonghua.

City University of Hong Kong boasts numerous achievements, high international rankings in the engineering world, and endowments for student scholarships and university-wide grants. They have encouraged and geared their institution toward diversity, collaboration, and participation in community service. David Santandreu Calonge has been a powerful influence to City University and continues to inspire students and coach staff members to find their path to success.
