Stephanie Ring-Hillard received an Adirondack Trust Co Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Educational Studies and Psychology from Empire State College–SUNY Albany. For the past year, she has worked as a 1:1 Substitute Teacher at New Scotland Elementary School in Albany, and she will continue this work throughout the summer. Stephanie, who was first initiated into KDP in 1991, shared her graduation with her daughter, Christina Marie, shown in the photo. |
| Elizabeth Rose Trick, a Psi Tau chapter member at Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio, was named the school’s 2010 valedictorian. Trick is earning a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and plans to teach at the PreK–3rd grade level. |
Jeremy Stewart received two awards this spring from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. During his student teaching, Jeremy was nominated as the Special Education Student of the Year. He was honored to receive this award. Furthermore, Jeremy was selected as the recipient of the Sheila Brisbane Special Education Leadership Award. This was a major accomplishment for this Mu Beta chapter member. |

Jamison Monahan earned the 2010 Old Dominion Athletic Conference/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award. Jamison registered a 3.84 grade point average as a Spanish and History double-major with a minor in Secondary Education while performing in track and field at Roanoke College. |

Emily Cournoyer earned the Bert Award at Providence College for displaying the qualities of an outstanding teacher during her undergraduate studies. She also received the Jane Thompson Award, which recognizes the outstanding senior female athlete at Providence College, for her success on the varsity basketball team. |

Malone University presented Dr. Beth Clark-Thomas with a Distinguished Faculty Award for service. A professor of early education and the Director of Field and Clinical Experiences at Malone, Dr. Clark-Thomas also serves as counselor of the ACE Award-winning Rho Tau Chapter. Additionally, she is the chairperson of KDP’s National Chapter Services Committee. |
Sarah Brown Wessling, a 10th–12th grade English teacher at Johnston High School in Johnston, Iowa, was named National Teacher of the Year on April 29 in a ceremony at the White House. |
St. Francis College awarded Brian Goetz the Franciscan Spirit Award for his service to the college and community, and the Certificate of Recognition for his work with the Education Society and his other achievements. He was the 2009–10 president of the Xi Rho Chapter. Brian graduated with a bachelor's degree in childhood education and a concentration in social studies. He plans to pursue a master’s degree in literacy. |

Angela Lambrix, a Gamma Mu chapter member, earned the President’s Medal for Outstanding Undergraduate Student at SUNY – Buffalo State and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. Angela received a number of scholarships, including the Nicholas Patterson Perpetual Fund Scholarship, the Business and Professional Women of Buffalo/Amherst Scholarship, the Hazel M. Bleeker Scholarship, and the United University Professions Scholarship. She also received the Ross B. Kenzie Family Presidential Scholarship, and she was admitted to the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program. |
Ryan Glowacz won the Senior Prize in Education at Lake Forest College. The college recognizes an outstanding education student with this award. Ryan is also the president of the Tau Psi Chapter and a member of Lake Forest’s varsity football team. |
