| Kappa Delta Pi is proud to present a new recognition program to honor practicing teachers who demonstrate commitment to continuous professional growth and integrity in the classroom. |
| To attain the Teacher of Honor Distinction, applicants must: |
| • | Agree to KDP Standards for Teachers of Honor |
| • | Have a Bachelors Degree and 3 years experience as PK-16 teacher |
| • | Be NCLB “Highly Qualified” in primary teaching assignment |
| • | Meet 8 of 25 selection criteria, which demonstrate involvement, professional development, research, service or leadership |
| The Teacher of
Honor will be awarded each year to all who apply
and meet the criteria. Any person who is a current active, renewed
or new member of Kappa Delta Pi is eligible to apply. You may
submit the application any time during the year. Teachers of Honor
will be notified on a rolling basis. Those receiving the Teacher of Honor Distinction will receive a pin and framed certificate for themselves and a letter of recognition and plaque for their school administrator. |
