Program: Kits for Kids

Materials:
This project is a nationally sponsored program and the Web site is www.kitsforkids.org. This site is very clear and offers information on who to contact for support of the project.

How To:
1. Access the “Kits for Kids” Web site to review program instructions.
2. Create a flyer to be mailed to members advertising the mission and requesting funds.
3. Collect funds from members and nonmembers.
4. Contact community resources for additional funding.
5. Purchase the suitcases and the contents needed for the program using funds raised.
6. Meet with Department of Social Services to arrange the delivery of the suitcases.

Add a twist:
Challenge all senior-level students in the senior corps to match the funds class-to-class.
