Literacy Alive!

The Reading Is Fun (RIF) program has a new name—Literacy Alive! The new name was selected to reflect the variety of activities that many KDP chapters include in their literacy events and to eliminate confusion with other reading programs. Though it carries a new moniker, the purpose of Literacy Alive! remains unchanged: to promote literacy among young people and support chapter programs that encourage a lifelong love of reading.

Literacy Alive, a chapter-wide initiative of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society, encourages lifelong learning through literacy. With the support of the organization’s Educational Foundation, special refunding grants are made available to chapters for their literacy programs.
