• KDP members facilitated an activity involving the book Nate the Great and the Boring Beach Bag with students with whom they had been working since spring 2005.
• The students discussed fun things to do at the beach after beach items and creatures were shown.
• The students were divided into small groups to read the book.
• Students completed a scavenger hunt crossword puzzle and made ‘beach cups’ (pudding with crushed Oreos and gummy sea creatures).
