• Chapter members attended Noche de Familia, a bilingual parent/student meeting. They read books and presented literacy activities.
• Bilingual students were given a bag to take home in which a stuffed bear and two expository texts—one in English and one in Spanish—were included.
• The remaining bags were given to the Nacogdoches Independent School District social worker to distribute to needy bilingual students.
