Theme: Senses Fun!
• The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses was read to the children.
• Stations were set up around the classroom so that the children could interact with one another and use 3–5 of their five senses. Center activities included:
  • For the sense of touch: the children made Gak, a fun activity.
  • For the sense of taste: a relay race was held. Children were divided into teams and lined up single file behind a team leader. A KDP member stood at the front of each line holding a bag with various foods inside. The children raced to the KDP member, grabbed a food item, ate it, and returned to their line to tag and send the next classmate. The winning team received a prize.
  • For the sense of sight: children created string paintings by dragging string in paint and placing it on paper.
• After the activities, KDP members reviewed the senses and gave prizes to the winning children.
