Fund–raising Ideas
Easy

Program: Something for Nothing

Chapter: Beta Nu Chapter at Black Hills State University, SD
Level: Easy

Materials:
Bulletin board or large wall
Chapter newsletter or flyer
Various arts and crafts supplies

How To:
1. In the chapter newsletter or a separate flyer, explain the project and how the money will be collected. Also include a picture of the project that the money raised will support.
2. Send the newsletter or flyer to all KDP members and others who might support the project.
3. For each level of contribution, attach to the wall a block of a designated color for that level. For example, a $1 contribution could be a white block in the wall, a $5 contribution could be a blue block, and more than $5 could be a red block.
4. Build the wall as the money arrives.

Add a Twist:
Tie this project into a campus-wide Random Acts of Kindness program.

Additional Details:
This project works well as both a fund-raiser and a service project. The Beta Nu Chapter successfully collected enough funds to help pay for a $4,000 Literacy Nook at the child care center on campus.
