Podcast Icon Working with Students Who Are ‘Difficult’

You know them. You want to be the best teacher for them you can be. Yet somehow, some way, they just get under your skin. What do you do? Presenters Joshua L. Patterson and Lauren E. Peters have encountered and successfully taught children who are difficult. They know first-hand how these students push a teacher's buttons; push authorities away. They also know that these are the children who most need teachers who won't give up on them or be manipulated by them. Teachers who use proven strategies, maintain consistency, and provide structure can create a classroom of order that is also a place of hope.
