Convo 2011 web S Submit your Proposal
to Be a Convo 2011 Presenter

Check out some new opportunities
to present at Convo 2011 for you and your students, along with the returning favorites. Whether you are a seasoned presenter or a novice, you will find a venue to share your expertise.

Choose from these options:
• Traditional workshop on a topic that fits one of three conference strands
• Two poster sessions-one specifically about excellent KDP chapter programs and the other about best practices in the PreK-12 setting
• All-new research roundtable focusing on five designated topics.

Creative ideas
always are appreciated and appropriate for any of these formats. Please consider how you can share your experience and expertise with your colleagues at the Kappa Delta Pi 48th Biennial Convocation through these opportunities. Presenting is an excellent addition to your portfolio as well.

Interested? To participate in one of the above options, you must submit a proposal that is relevant to one of the conference strands or suggested topics. All proposals will be evaluated according to established criteria. For guidelines, selection criteria, and the online proposal form, go to the Convo page at www.kdp.org/convo2011
and you'll find the Submit a Proposal section just below the train video.

Life in KDP After Graduation
Do you have members graduating in December? Let them know that their KDP membership doesn't have to end at graduation! KDP graduates who remain connected with the Society get to enjoy all sorts of advantages. The Society offers graduates moving into a teaching career the opportunity to meet other educators and to create a rich and diverse professional community with others who demonstrate high ideals and a commitment to education.
Learn more
about why you should maintain your membership beyond graduation.

"Life in KDP after graduation means networking with peers and professionals in my field, job opportunities, support through the organization and other educators after graduation and entering the classroom, receiving the most current issues and facts in education through KDP's publications and Web site, support and mentoring from other members and KDP staff, support that promotes teacher retention-a KDP support system and family for life."
   - Heather Kleinpeter Caldwell, member since 2005 and 2009 graduate
