Making It Easier For You
After considering suggestions from counselors and officers, the Chapter Model Agreement will be a biannual report.
If your chapter has not submitted an agreement for this biennium, please do so by June 1, 2010. The next model agreement will be due June 1, 2012. A revised Model Agreement Comparison Chart is in the spring mailing.

What Is An Honorary Member?
As you gear up for spring initiations, the Chapter Services Department (CS) would like to share important information concerning Honorary Membership. According to Article 6 Section 1 of KDP's national bylaws, an Honorary Membership is not open to a person eligible for another membership category or one who holds a degree in education. To honor a person meeting general membership requirements, CS suggests you send an invitation to join and pay the initiation fee as a "gift" membership. You will find complete information on page 9 of the
Membership Chair's Guidebook. For questions regarding an Honorary Membership, contact your RCC.

Centennial Spotlight: "Remember, Recognize, and Celebrate!" Regional Receptions
 The
Society is hosting receptions for members in several cities around the country between March 2010 and October 2011. The purpose of the receptions is to reconnect members
with KDP, tell them about our current initiatives and projects, and promote the Centennial and new initiatives. Chapters are encouraged to plan local events for their alumni and area professional members. Dates and locations for receptions will be announced in the coming months.
