2009-2010 Kappa Delta Pi/Association of Teacher Educators National Student Teacher/Intern of the Year Award
This annual award recognizes a student who has demonstrated exemplary classroom management skills, knowledge of current educational issues and practices, and reflective analysis of his or her own teaching and learning processes.
The recipient receives a $900 award. The recipient, nominating sponsor, and education program also receive national recognition. Visit

Call for Authors, Special Centennial Project Laureate Dr. O.L. Davis, Jr. (Former KDP President and Professor Emeritus of The University of Texas at Austin) and Dr. Mindy Spearman (Assistant Professor, Clemson University) are co-editing a book featuring biographies of all former KDP Presidents, and they are seeking chapter authors.
The book, with an anticipated publication date of September 2011, will be featured at KDP's Centennial Convocation (November 3-5, 2011), with royalties from the sale of the book to be donated to the KDP Educational Foundation and earmarked for the Presidents' Scholarship Fund.
