Chapters with December Grads:

Be sure to remind your December grads to update their contact information through the KDP Web Portal so that they continue to receive member benefits, renewal information, job-hunting resources and many other KDP perks!

March 8, 2011 is our 100th anniversary!  Need some help planning an event for Founder's Day? Take a look at our Founder's Day Web section.

In celebration of our Centennial, we are offering a Centennial Essay Contest. The topic of the essay is So to Teach, So to Serve, So to Live: The Past, Present, and Future of Education and Teaching. We want to read what our members think about how education changed in the 20th century and how it will evolve in the 21st century.

The three essay categories to be judged are:
1) undergraduate and graduate students;
2) PreK-12 practicing educators; and
3) university faculty members and PreK-16 educational administrators.

Winners in each category will be rewarded in several ways, including free registration to Convo 2011!  To be eligible for entry in the contest, essays must be electronically submitted or mailed to Kappa Delta Pi (3707 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis, IN 46268) and postmarked by January 31, 2011.

KDP Institute for Teacher-Leaders

It really is okay to be proud of the work that you have helped to create. While no passion is 100% yours, there is something important about standing up for the change that you believe needs to take place. There are moments when "we" (students, teachers, admins) are ready to move on to the next step in our progression. We have to know when that is as well.  Field Guide for Change Agents-from Educon 2.2 workshop, January 2009
