IRS e-Postcards

Good news! All e-Postcards have been filed by Headquarters! To reduce confusion and time spent by chapters, Headquarters made sure each chapter's IRS e-Postcard was closed for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. If you have any questions about the e-Postcard process, please contact your Regional Chapter Coordinator or call (800) 284-3167.

Reminders from Headquarters -

It's a new biennium for KDP, and that means every chapter must submit a signed Chapter Model Agreement! You can find the agreement and model descriptions in the manage your chapter section of KDP Online.

Although the Chapter Planning Report was due October 3rd, the report is still available to fill out. We look forward to learning all that you have planned for the year!

The 2011 Fall Mailing Packets were sent in the middle of September to chapter counselors. If your chapter has not received a packet, please e-mail Laura at mcs@kdp.org or call Headquarters at (800) 284-3167.

Thank you to all of the chapters that submitted their 2010-2011 Annual Financial Report! If you have not already submitted it, please complete this essential report now, as it is critical to your chapter's overall health. E-mail mcs@kdp.org if you have any questions about the report.

Nominations for Leaders  - Don't delay! Here is your opportunity to help lead Kappa Delta Pi - an organization dedicated to recognizing excellence in education and advancing scholarship and service in the teaching profession by connecting great ideas and great people and to inspire leadership within the education community.

You may nominate yourself or you may nominate a fellow Kadelpian for an Executive Council position. Information about the responsibilities of each position and additional expectations for serving are outlined in the Leadership Roles brochure.

The Officer Candidate Application Form  may be submitted electronically or by postal mail to KDP Headquarters. The deadline is November 11, 2011.

Updating Contact Information Through the Web Portal -  Today's highly connected and communicative world lends itself to this $64,000 question: How many e-mail addresses do you have? Your answer depends on how connected you are to the Internet. Students often have several e-mail addresses, designated for specific uses: personal, social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, junk e-mail, and academic purposes. Make sure your members update their contact information through the Web portal so that they receive Society news, special notices, and reminders to renew. Contact your RCC if you have questions about making those updates.

See the NTA online!

New Teacher Advocate, In Hand & Online - When you received the fall issue of New Teacher Advocate, did you notice the green icon on page three that directed readers to the digital version of the publication? That's right a page-turning, live-linked NTA to give readers quick and easy access to articles, content-related materials, and online resources. If you missed the green icon and link, be sure to check it out here.

P.S. We made other changes too. Can you tell what they are? Send your comments and feedback to Pubs@kdp.org, subject: NTA2011. Thank you!

Make sure your officers are receiving The Leader! To receive this essential KDP information,
officers must be listed on the
Officer Report through the Web Portal.
If necessary, please forward
The Leader to the appropriate officers.
