Kappa Delta Pi Undergraduate Scholarships

The Kappa Delta Pi Educational Foundation awards up to 20 undergraduate scholarships annually. Scholarships range in areas of concentration and degrees—from general education to student teaching, elementary, secondary, and special education, and more. Please visit the KDP Educational Foundation page for more information on scholarships and to apply for the one that is right for you.

These scholarships open doors of opportunity. Recipients greatly value the honor and award:

Jenna Lachney — Sandra Jo Hornick 2007–08
Receiving this award meant so much to me, both as a student and a teacher. As a student, I felt that I had the support of the entire KDP organization behind me (which is an amazing feeling for an undergrad!). As a teacher, I felt that the choice and commitment to a selfless career was recognized and supported.

Elizabeth Trexler — President's Scholarship 2007–08
Receiving the Kappa Delta Pi scholarship was such an honor. I felt like it validated the service and effort that I put forth, not only in my chapter, but also in my entire college career thus far. It served as a hope that I will be successful as I continue into student teaching and beyond.

Kelly Bryant — Harold D. Drummond 2007–08
The scholarship funds came at the perfect time. With gas prices so high and driving an hour and fifteen minutes to and from my student teaching placement, the funds were badly needed. Graduation and tuition costs are expensive for a single income family of four. The $500 I received from the Harold Drummond Scholarship fund was greatly appreciated.
