KDP Donates Books to La Posada Providencia
(SAN BENITO)—For some [students], it’s the first book in English they’ve ever had. That’s why a large donation of books, backpacks, and other supplies to La Posada Providencia is so important. Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education, donated the supplies which included 300 backpacks, said Rose Cardarelli, member of the executive committee.

Kappa Delta Pi to Host Chinese Principals
Twenty-eight Chinese high school principals will end their American vacation and begin their professional development at Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) beginning Friday, October 2, 2015. After several days in Washington, D.C. and New York City, the educators are coming to Indiana to work. In cooperation with the Chinese Education Connection (CEC), KDP staff and educators from several central Indiana schools will introduce the Chinese to the American public education system, which substantially differs from their own. KDP and CEC have learned through previous experiences with groups of principals that there will be several surprises are in store for the Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, school executives.

Rowan University’s Richard Heggan Named 2015 National Student Teacher of the Year
Richard (Rick) Heggan, 2015 graduate and currently teaching sixth and eighth grade science at Neeta School in Medford Lakes, New Jersey, is the 2015 recipient of the Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)/Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) National Student Teacher of the Year Award. Heggan is a 2014 Kappa Delta Pi initiate of the Eta Psi Chapter at Rowan University.
Kappa Delta Pi Wins REVERE Award for Kappa Delta Pi Record
Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is pleased to announce that the Kappa Delta Pi Record was presented an award for Professional Magazines at the REVERE Awards Gala on June 3. The award was given for the creation of the “Telling Stories” department of the journal, which was designed to share universal lessons through personal narratives.
