Attend The Hive: Professional Educator Symposium. This personalized professional development session, for educators working in the classroom, provides the opportunity for shared learning, collaboration, and open discussion of the most pressing needs of attendees. Participants drive their own professional learning by sharing knowledge, resources, best practices, and fellowship in a space where teachers take charge of their own learning.  Modeled after other “unconference” concepts, ideas cross-pollinate for an exciting, organic learning experience.  Join us in The Hive to see what all the buzz is about! You must register for this event.

Creating a Trauma-Sensitive Classroom: An Overview of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
This workshop is geared toward helping teachers create trauma-sensitive classrooms. Many students have been impacted by some type of trauma, which significantly affects their behavior and learning. In understanding the impact of trauma, teachers can better manage the challenging behaviors of affected children through evidenced-based, trauma-informed interventions. The principles of TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) support teachers in helping ALL students reach their optimal development. Workshop presented by Dr. Pam Kramer Ertel, Associate Professor of Education, Middle Tennessee State University, TBRI Practitioner. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Participants receive a certificate of participation. The cost is $25. Spots are limited!
