Eleanor Roosevelt: Her Legacy, Our Future
Join a virtual celebration, exclusively for KDP members, that explores Eleanor Roosevelt’s enduring impact, creates opportunities for meaningful community, and reminds us what educators can accomplish when we come together in service of something larger than ourselves.
In honor of Eleanor Roosevelt’s October 11 birthday, we’re gathering a few days early to celebrate the life and legacy of a person who left an indelible mark on both KDP and the world. Inducted as a KDP Laureate in 1949 and later honored as the namesake of the Eleanor Roosevelt Chapter, she championed education, human rights, and public service, demonstrating how one person can create lasting change. Her service as the first US delegate to the United Nations makes her legacy especially meaningful to KDP’s UN representatives, who continue to advance educational and humanitarian ideals through their work today. Her example continues to inspire educators, leaders, and changemakers today.
