Teaching in the Age of AI: Pedagogy, Possibility, and Responsibility

When:  Wed, Oct 14, 2026 from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM (ET)

Artificial intelligence is changing what is possible in teaching and learning, but the most important questions are not simply about what AI can do. They are about when and why it should be used, and how educators can keep pedagogy, student learning, and professional judgment at the center. Where does this new technology fit into the classroom and the school community?

Join KDP, Mentra, and Teaching Channel for an engaging conversation about the future of teaching and learning in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

Together, we will explore how educators can use AI to support meaningful teaching and learning while considering its ethical and environmental implications.

We will focus on four key questions:

  1. Where can AI meaningfully support teaching and learning?

  2. When should students do the thinking without AI?

  3. What boundaries should guide AI use in the classroom?

  4. How should we consider privacy, ethics, equity, and environmental impact?

Take Something Back to Your Classroom

Participants will receive the Classroom AI Compass: A Guided Framework for Creating Your Classroom AI Policy, a practical packet designed to help educators develop their own approach to AI.

Rather than offering a one size fits all policy, the Classroom AI Compass helps educators think through learning goals, expectations for AI use, student responsibility, transparency, privacy, ethical and environmental concerns, and teacher judgment.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have the beginnings of a clear, intentional classroom AI policy they can continue adapting as technology evolves.

AI will keep changing. Your principles can help guide thoughtful decisions as it does.

No AI expertise required. Bring your questions, concerns, and ideas about what good teaching should look like in the age of AI.
