Webinar FAQ's

What are KDP webinars?
Webinars are free, topical presentations for educators, developed to keep them current in the field and connected to one another. These Webinars run 60-75 minutes long, with 10-15 minutes for Q&As. KDP's Webinars were developed especially for KDP members but nonmembers may attend.

How much do webinars cost?
KDP Webinars are free to members. Many educational groups are charging $35-85 per webinar, so KDP’s free webinars are a wonderful value. You must be a current member of KDP to receive access to the registration, but you can log in and renew for only $50 at any time.

How do I participate?
Register through the link provided on the KDP web site, and you will receive follow-up information via e-mail. Check accessibility by reviewing the technical requirements provided in the email to ensure readiness. Use the link in the email to log in via computer or dial in via telephone prior to the start of the Webinar. Most webinars include a PowerPoint or an internet component, so it is helpful to be at your computer. You will be muted but may send in questions through a text box.

Do the webinars count as CEUs?
Attendees receive a Certificate of Participation that may be applied to continuing education credits as their individual state allows. Please check your state's DOE for licensure and CEU requirements.

What if I sign up but miss the webinar?
No problem. You will receive a link to a recording of the webinar (podcast) in an e-mail after the webinar.

I really like the webinars. Can I listen to some I have missed?
Yes! Go to the Resources Catalog and click on Webinars to see all the available recordings, most are available as both a video and an audio file. If you are a KDP Member, login to MyKDP and access them for free. If you are not a KDP Member, you will be charged a fee for each download.

Can I download the podcast to my ipod or ipad or smart phone?
Yes! Most are in an MP3 format, but a few older ones are in wmv format. Either format can be downloaded. Enjoy podcasts in the car or while you are exercising.

How do I request a certificate of completion for watching a webinar recording?
The professional development webinars in our Resources Catalog will include a Request for Certificate document you can download. Email your completed worksheet to mcs@kdp.org. The worksheet will be reviewed and an electronic certificate will be emailed to you in 7 to 14 days. Career development webinars, covering topics such as resumes and job searching, are not eligible for a certificate.

Can my organization sponsor a webinar through KDP?
We are happy to discuss opportunities for your organization to provide financial support to help sustain our high-quality webinars, but we do not permit financial sponsors to influence or provide content as a KDP webinar. To ensure our webinars provide access to top education experts without outside influence on content we solicit our own presenters. If you would like become an underwriter for our webinar program and be recognized for your support, please contact advancement@kdp.org.
