Student Responsibility for Learning
Categories: Professional Development
Responsibility for learning belongs to the student. Cultivating responsible learners requires developmental awareness, content mastery, and the implementation of class-wide systems that hold students accountable without the consequences being personal, emotional, or reactive. Through the activities, interactions, and reflections in this course, teachers learn to model responsibility and organization, and to motivate and hold students accountable for their learning and behavior. Understand and practice effective strategies for helping your students recognize their responsibility to themselves and others by making healthy choices, taking responsibility for their actions and reactions, and cultivating a growth mindset.
