Join the Hive: The Need for More
Researchers have suggested the need for "hybrid" teacher educators—those who have an understanding of both research and practice—in order to bring about change. Hybrid educators would allow teacher practitioners to understand the claims and foundations of educational theory, while also taking into account practical concerns in the classroom. Pursuing further study can allow practicing teachers to be hybrid educators, allowing them to advance their own careers and improve teaching as a craft.
