As a member of Kappa Delta Pi, you have already been recognized as an exceptional student and educator. Thanks to generous donors, KDP can recognize more than 30 individuals with unique scholarships created specifically for members. Ranging from $500 to $3,000, potential opportunities are available for members at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels of study as well as for Pre-K–12 teachers. Our annual scholarship cycle takes place in the spring, with the application deadline on April 30.
Our online application portal is now closed for 2021 opportunities. Active membership is required to apply for scholarships. Scholarship applications require short answers, an essay on the scholarship’s prompt, unofficial transcripts, and a letter of reference.
To find opportunities available, essay prompts, and award criteria, review the 2021 opportunity list and guidelines provided here.
The 2021 scholarship application deadline has passed. Reviews are being conducted and we will notify recipients on July 1.
Scholarship award money must be used to advance the recipients’ studies and/or teaching careers. Tuition/student loans, curriculum books, technology, classroom manipulatives, and items to establish your first learning environment are examples of acceptable uses. Scholarship money will be awarded via a check made payable to the recipient. Recipients are required to submit a survey to share the impact of the scholarship funds.
