Addressing AI in education is crucial to unlock its potential benefits while proactively managing associated risks and unintended outcomes(Saleh, 2023). Educators must engage in thoughtful reflection on the ethical implications, applications, advantages, and drawbacks of AI in teaching and learning. For PreK-12 teachers and students, AI can revolutionize education through personalized learning experiences, adaptive assessments, virtual tutoring, and administrative task automation. However, ethical considerations in using AI in education are paramount, including safeguarding data privacy, mitigating algorithmic bias, ensuring transparency in decision-making processes, and upholding academic integrity in student assignments and assessments. Approaching these ethical dilemmas with integrity entails prioritizing student well-being, fostering transparency, obtaining informed consent, continuously monitoring AI systems, and ensuring that AI complements human judgment rather than replacing it. By navigating these considerations thoughtfully and ethically, educators can harness the power of AI to enhance teaching and learning experiences for all students (Saleh, 2023).
