Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Implementation Information By State
(updated November 2, 2016)
On December 10, 2015, No Child Left Behind was updated with legislation you have certainly heard about—the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Read more about the federal legislation here.
This new legislation not only allows for, but requires, your input. You are an expert who knows about the challenges and opportunities in today's classrooms. Policy makers want to hear from you and to learn from you as an educational professional.
While some states are still considering how to engage their education stakeholders, many states have already put a process in place, ranging from an online survey to gather feedback to holding community meetings. Check out what is happening in your state using this list compiled for you. For additional updates on ESSA for each state, please visit Shape America.
Kappa Delta Pi has, on behalf of its 36,000 members, offered suggestions for the implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) that you can download by clicking here.
Thank you to Dr. Amy Stich for her regular updates to this page and helping to keep you informed.
