An educator, mentor, and legacy-builder, Dr. Vance-Clark is passionate about using education to break generational cycles and create lasting change. For her, teaching is more than a profession—it’s a calling rooted in service, faith, and purpose.
Q: How has your KDP community helped you thrive in the classroom?
A: My KDP community has been a powerful source of inspiration, support, and professional growth. Being surrounded by like-minded educators who are equally passionate about teaching and learning has fueled my creativity and strengthened my confidence as a leader in the classroom. The resources, networking opportunities, and shared best practices have helped me stay current with research-based strategies and continuously improve my instructional approach. Most importantly, KDP has reminded me that I am part of a larger movement—one that is committed to educational excellence, equity, and lifelong learning.
Q: What inspires you to teach?
A: What inspires me to teach is the opportunity to shape lives and build legacies. I believe education is one of the most powerful tools we have to break generational cycles and create lasting change. Every time I step into a classroom—whether with children, future educators, or parents—I’m reminded that I’m not just teaching a lesson; I’m planting seeds of purpose, confidence, and possibility. Watching a child learn to read, seeing a teacher find their voice, or helping a family believe in their future again—that’s what fuels my passion. Teaching, for me, is a calling rooted in service, faith, and the belief that every child deserves access to an excellent start.
Q: Outside the classroom, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy?
A: Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, traveling, and exploring new cultures and experiences that expand my perspective. I have a deep passion for writing and have authored over 30 books focused on education, personal growth, and legacy-building. I also love mentoring aspiring educators and entrepreneurs, helping them turn their vision into impact. In my quiet moments, you’ll often find me journaling, listening to worship music, or brainstorming new ways to serve families and children in meaningful, lasting ways.
