Meet Kristi Peppers of the Alpha Epsilon Gamma Chapter at Grand Canyon University! Kristi credits KDP’s resources, like blogs and webinars, and the supportive friendships she’s built as key to her success in the classroom. Inspired by her own teachers and a desire to make a lasting impact, she finds joy in watching students grow and overcome challenges.

Q: How has your KDP community helped you thrive in the classroom?

A: Through its extensive resources, including blogs and webinars that keep me informed about teaching strategies and best practices, the KDP community has been influential in my success. My KDP friendships have developed a strong me a network of support, with guidance, inspiration, and a wealth of shared experiences that keep me inspired and help me become a better teacher.

Q: What inspires you to teach?

A: Other than some of my past teachers that inspired me, my desire to have a long-lasting influence on young lives motivates me to become a teacher. It inspires me every day to watch students blossom, gain self-assurance, and overcome obstacles. Being a part of that journey brings me great fulfillment because I firmly believe that every child deserves to be supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Q: Outside the classroom, what hobbies or interests do you enjoy?

A: I love being on the sidelines of my husband’s ball games, cheering on our kids at their games, and adventuring with my family of five children. Traveling with my husband is a favorite way to unwind, and I also enjoy crafting whenever I get the chance.
