Meet Dr. Lucijan Jović, an educator, researcher, and KDP United Nations Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Representative who is committed to advancing equitable education for all learners. In the classroom, he teaches 8th-grade English and Writing, along with high school students in grades 9–12 with limited English proficiency, helping them build language skills, confidence, and academic success.
Dr. Jović earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Molloy University, where his work focused on social justice and ensuring access to high-quality education for every student.
In his classroom, Dr. Jović is dedicated to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments where all students feel supported and challenged. His work with multilingual learners reflects his belief that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background.
Through his teaching, he empowers students to grow not only academically, but also in confidence and voice.
Dr. Jović also serves as a collaborator at the Cognition and Learning Laboratory at Molloy University. There, he works with colleagues to explore how cognitive, cultural, and social factors shape learning.
The lab’s work focuses on connecting research in cognitive science and social psychology to real classroom practice. Through this work, Dr. Jović helps translate theory into strategies that support more effective and equitable teaching.
As a KDP United Nations NGO Representative at the United Nations in New York City, Dr. Jović brings a global perspective to education. In this role, he meets with international delegates and leaders while helping connect KDP members to global education initiatives.
Through his work, he helps:
- build community by sharing international education insights with KDP members
- create a sense of belonging by connecting educators to a global network
- develop leadership by supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-focused learning and action
- inspire celebration by highlighting how educators around the world are making an impact
His work ensures that KDP members see how their classrooms are part of a much larger, global movement in education.
Whether teaching students, conducting research, or representing KDP on a global stage, Dr. Jović’s work is grounded in a clear mission to create equitable, high-quality learning experiences for all.
