Hello Everyone,
My name is Tony Schlorff, and I have spent the past 20 years in education. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2006 with a degree in Mathematics Education and began my career teaching at Naperville Central High School. In 2012, I transitioned into administration, serving in Community Consolidated School District 93 as both an Assistant Principal at Carol Stream Elementary and Director of Technology.
In 2019, I joined Township High School District 214 as the Associate Superintendent for Technology Services. Most recently, in 2023, I stepped into my current role as Chief Financial and Operations Officer at AASA, The School Superintendents Association, where I continue to support education at a national level.
Throughout my journey, I have earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership with a Principal endorsement, and, most recently, an Ed.D. from the University of Illinois, along with my Superintendent endorsement.
Education is deeply personal for me. My mother was a lifelong educator, and my wife currently teaches 2nd grade in Bolingbrook, so I see firsthand the impact educators have every day.
I am incredibly excited to be part of KDP and the Illinois Teacher Network. I look forward to connecting, learning from all of you, and celebrating the incredible work happening across Illinois classrooms.
