Tell us what you are most looking forward to as the school year kicks off! Are you a first year classroom teacher with your own classroom? A veteran teacher taking on a new role? A college sophomore looking forward to the semester?

What excites you about this fall?

Hi! This fall I am completing my Student Teaching portion of my MAT degree.  I, also, was given the opportunity to accept a position in a Catholic School locally! I will be teaching middle grades Math and Science.  This means I will be completing a Science endorsement when I graduate as well! I am excited for the opportunities this has brought me and am looking forward to my first year having my own classroom!  I can't wait to get to know these students and see what their brilliant minds can do!

Hi, this school year I am looking forward implementing new content & lessons with my students. I am starting my 5th year of teaching, my 3rd year teaching at the high school level. This school year, I look forward to attending & participating in "AGI's Geoscience Experiences for Teachers Out in the Field (GET-Out) with the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG)" teacher workshop program & conference in September. I look forward to attending & presenting at the NSTA's National Conference in Minneapolis in November (as part of my participation in the NSTA's 2025 Fields of STEM cohort I am apart of). I am looking forward to being a part of the Adler Planetarium's Teacher Advisory Group this school year. I am looking forward to also (hopefully) completing my MPS degree in Wildlife Ecology & Management after I complete my two Capstone Project classes. These are a lot of new experiences that I have to look forward to this year & I hope they all go well.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my students and supporting the seniors as they prepare for graduation. I’m also excited to serve once again as the Advisor for the Black Student Union. I can not wait to see all the meaningful activities and events our outstanding student leaders have planned for BSU members this year.
